Hemophilia and Other Bleeding Disorder Patients
Having a chronic disorder like hemophilia can quickly define your life. As an experienced provider of specialty medications to hemophilia patients and those who suffer from other bleeding disorders, we strive to lessen your stress by offering personalized service for all of your hemophilia prescription needs.
Clinical Hemophilia Services
Through our hemophilia specialty pharmacy, NCHS dispenses medications to treat hemophilia and bleeding disorder complications that arise from factor deficiencies. Many of our patients have hemophilia A and suffer from a clotting factor 8 deficiency (also known as factor viii). We also serve patients with clotting factor deficiencies from hemophilia B, Von Willebrand disease, and other bleeding disorders.
Patients who receive routine prophylactic infusions often benefit from learning how to self-infuse. As part of our clinical services, we offer information and education for patients who wish to begin a home infusion regimen. We are happy to discuss the hemophilia treatment options that best fit your lifestyle.
Non-Clinical Hemophilia Services
We know that hemophilia can affect every aspect of a person’s life. We strive to treat the whole person, not just disease symptoms. That’s why our team is dedicated to helping you obtain treatment, evaluate financial options, navigate insurance issues, and more. We work with you to:
- Keep you apprised of new legislation that may impact your care
- Alert you to new advancements in treatments and drugs
- Provide helpful tips on living with your condition
- Advocate on your behalf
